English Classes in Peel
Our English language training program provides language instruction to adult (18 plus) immigrants, so they acquire the necessary language skills to integrate into Canadian society.
Newcomer Centre of Peel has been offering free English classes for new immigrants for over 32 years. Our team of dedicated language instructors is committed to maintaining NCP’s reputation as a caring and highly effective organization. As a result, almost 1,500 newcomers attend our English classes yearly.
Enrollment Criteria to Join An English Class for Newcomers in Peel
- Open to all adult immigrants
- Attendees must be 18 years of age and above
- Available for both landed immigrants and convention refugees
- A mandatory assessment interview will be conducted to confirm your current language proficiency

In-Person, Online and Evening Options
At NCP, we understand that newcomers have diverse needs, which is why we offer both in-person and online classes and appointments. Our flexible options make English training accessible and inclusive, helping newcomers thrive in their new community. Individuals can choose the format that best fits their preferences, schedule, and learning style, ensuring everyone gets the support they need in a way that works for them.
For those with busy daytime commitments, we also offer online evening classes as a convenient option to access English training outside of regular working hours.
These accessibilities ensure newcomers can participate in language learning without compromising their responsibilities. Additionally, the availability of online classes enables individuals to access our services from anywhere, overcoming barriers such as transportation or geographical constraints.
Full-time LINC classes run Monday to Friday. These classes include:
- English Language (levels 1–8)
- Online Evening Classes (levels 0 to 6)
- Academic and Business English
- Early Childhood Education Assistant (level 6/7/8)
